Refactory brick lined furnace approxx 2.0 metres O/D x 5.2 metres long + 700 mm for the burner. The burner is a Hamworthy model AWG15 continuously modulating natural gas unit built in 1989. It has a 15kw combustion fan, gas train and control panel. Believed to have an output of up to 15,000,000 BTU (4.4MW). Was on a 5 tph evaporative capacity rotary drum drier.

Complete rotary drum drying plant. The single pass drum is 1.5 metres diameter x 8.5 metres long with riding rings, trunnions, chain drive, lagging and cladding. The drum is connected to a steel cased furnace tube with a diesel burner with 3kw combustion fan and an output up to 1900kw thermal.
A portable chain and flight conveyor feeds material into the dryer.
The dry product is aspirated from the drum via a primary cyclone with a discharge rotary valve and a centrifugal fan on the clean air side. The fan exhausts to atmosphere.
The rotary valve on the primary cyclone drops the dry material into a closed loop pneumatic transfer system that delivers the product to a silo via a secondary cyclone with discharge rotary valve. The clean air from the cyclone passes back to the fan inlet.
The silo is 3.0 metres diameter x about 4.5 metres high with a flat bottom and sweep arm discharge 1.5 metres above base level. The silo's working volume is about 20 cubic meters. There is an inclined screw conveyor from the silo outlet with a discharge height of about 2 metres.
All control equipment is included.
I estimate that the evaporative capacity is up to 1.5tph.
The drum and furnace are covered by an open sided building which can be purchased at extra cost.
The buyer dismantles and removes the plant.

Swiss Combi Mk 5 triple pass rotary drum dryer probably mid 70s vintage but been refurbished in recent years. The drum is about 2.5 metres diameter x 10.0 metres long and has riding rings, support rollers and friction drive. The natural gas burner reference UCPE-5306 or the Energy Unlimited biomass burner reference UCPE-5239 could be used on this drum.
With the drum there is a process air fan, ducting, cyclone with bottom section cut off, cyclone stand and stone trap, Control panel is included but no rotary valve.

Swiss Combi 5 tph evaporative capacity triple pass rotary drum dryer built in 2008. The drum is 3.1M diameter x 9.3M long. The dryer furnace is a 7.5MW Krann biomass gasification unit which is fuelled by bark and wet woodchip. The dryer has a 75kw fan, cyclone, rotary valve, chimney and a moisture monitoring system.

Complete rotary drum drying plant with 10 tph evaporative capacity, currently drying and baling field wilted alfalfa at about 500 degrees C. The plant comprises 2 No Swiss Combi Mk 5 triple pass dryers. Each dryer has the following :-
Inclined 9.5 metre long x 2.0 metre wide twin chain bunker feeder with levelling reel and a U trough screw conveyor to transfer product to the drying drum.
Coal fired chain grate furnace 1.3 metres wide x 5.0 metres long with refractory lining, combustion fan, coal receiving hopper outside building and ash discharge conveyor. The fan inlet air is preheated by waste heat from the transfer duct between the furnace and the dryer. The chain grate and fan are both variable speed.
The drum is 10.0 metres overall long x 3.0 metres overall diameter and rotates at about 14 rpm on two sets of steel rollers two of which are powered to provide a friction drive via two riding rings on the drum ends. The drum is a triple pass unit and it is lagged and clad.
The dry product is aspirated from the drum via 650 mm diameter ducting to a cyclone passing over a two slide stone trap. The cyclone is 2.5 metres diameter with a 3.0 metres vertical cylinder and an 1120 mm deep cone with 700 mm diameter outlet which feeds in to a 1000 mm diameter rotary valve. There is a 55kw fan on the clean air side of the cyclone which blows onto an outside flue 22 metres high.
A 500 mm diameter U trough screw conveyor transfers the dry product from the rotary valves from both dryers and feeds it to a swan neck wavy wall, cleated belt conveyor 500 mm wide which lifts it 2.7 metres to feed a cooler.
The cooler is an inclined single pass unit 8.0 metres long with a 2.0 metre wide moving bed. The cooler is aspirated by a 30kw fan via a 2.0 metre diameter cyclone with a rotary valve on the outlet. Dust flows into a big bag. The fan exhausts out of the building.
From the cooler the dry product is conveyed by a 500 mm diameter U trough screw conveyor and 13 metre long x 800 mm wide trough chevron belt conveyor to a baling machine.
The baler is a Bollegraaf HB40 unit with Ruffler and 4 wire banding producing 1300 mm long x 1000 mm wide x 850 mm high bales weighing around 300kg. The bales are stretch wrapped for protection. Bale length can be up to 2.4 metres.
Dust and spillage from the baler is aspirated outside to a Micro Pulsaire reversejet filter model 49S-10-2.5 on supporting steelwork with a 22kw exhaust fan. The filter under hopper has a discharge rotary valve and a U trough screw conveyor which conveys the material back to the baler for recycling.
Each dryer has an evaporative capacity of 5 tph of moisture and each furnace can produce up to 6MW thermal when burning coal. The furnace can burn some forms of biomass but the thermal output will depend on the bulk density and calorific value of the fuel.
The price includes removal of the plant and loading to buyers transport but excludes the cost of crane hire.
